Electrolyte-boosting Smoothie

This smoothie features fruits and veggies that naturally contain electrolytes! Bananas boast lots of potassium, while celery contains sodium, magnesium, and potassium. Coconut water naturally contains potassium, sodium, and chloride, and one study found that coconut water hydrates similarly to commercially available sports beverages.5 Ginger is included as a gut-soothing addition


  • 2 cups unsweetened coconut water
  • 4 bananas
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 cup mango chunks (frozen)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger root


  1. Add all ingredients to blender and puree until smooth, adding ice as needed to thicken.
